Joy Dakers was born in Bangkok, Thailand in the Year of the Dragon. After studying Politics and Philosophy at Glasgow University she now works at a leading creative and research agency in Edinburgh city center as a Junior Digital Producer.  A passionate photographer with a strong creative streak she enjoys capturing the world around her and eternalising particular places and moments in time through her photography. She has been fortunate enough to have traveled to over thirty countries, where she observed different cultures and individuals - something that drives her focus on social documentary photography. Her travel book 'Journey's with Joy' was published by Jasami CIC in 2020 and is available to buy in Waterstones, Amazon and the Jasami Website.
